A photograph captures a moment in time. That moment is usually sufficient to tell a story, but that wasn’t the case this day. I watched this momma bear for several hours as she struggled to feed her two young cubs. They watched from the bank as she raced up and down the river in a remarkable demonstration of agility and power. Only a sequence of images could adequately tell the story of this mother’s struggle to survive. This piece is presented on dye-infused aluminum.
