Artwork Description:

Commercial clay. Individually hand formed clay beads and etched clay pendant, which represents the direction of the traditional stomp dance. Kiln fired beads/pendant and then taken outdoors and flash fired in a bed of dry pine needles to produce the dark smokey colors. Hand polished. Copper beads compliment the dark clay. Sterling silver ear wires for matching clay bead and copper earrings. The clay beads are in groups of four (Four Directions). This set honors the many Native fire dancers (fighters) who are battling the 2020 wildfires in the four directions.
