Artwork Description:

Anitaki a Chahta Anumpa, Light in the Choctaw Language is a piece about the light coming from within our cultures and our women. It's a piece after completion that reminds me of being inspired by Anita Fields. This piece is on cradled wood with acrylic paint, and the negative spaces removed from the wood and filled washi paper. An LED light can be placed inside to illuminate the piece with differing colors through the washi paper.
